Bendigo is 150 km (approximately 1¾ hours) drive from Melbourne, via the Tullamarine Freeway and Calder Highway. The Heritage Motor Inn is ideally situated on High Street (Calder Highway), as most of Bendigo’s tourist attractions, shopping, dining and entertainment are within a five minute drive from the motel. A leisurely stroll along High Street will take you the 1.8 km from the Heritage to the Alexandra Fountain and the beautiful Rosalind Park (the centre of Bendigo). Along the way, you pass the Central Deborah tourist gold mine, the departure point for the Talking Tram tour, the Sacred Heart Cathedral and many cafes and restaurants.
The local bus stops at the front of the motel and the interstate coach terminal is about one kilometre away. The Bendigo railway station is just 2 km from the motel. All major car hire firms are represented in Bendigo and taxi and limousine services are also available. In addition, there is a small airport located about 10 km from the Heritage.
